These belts must be able to withstand considerable stress from the continuous heating – and cooling process as well as from the extreme pressure

These belts are up to 3 meters wide and up to 3 mm thick the length is sometimes much longer than 100 meters !!

The standards required from such belts, such as

•  tensile strength

•  surface quality

•  absolute smoothness

•  uniform thickness

•  resistance to pressure

•  resistance to changes of temperature and stability of shape
